Senior Spotlight - Fall Session with Tamara
As the 2019/2020 school year winds down, I want to shine a spotlight on some amazing seniors! First up in the spotlight is Tamara! I shot Tamara’s senior session on probably the weirdest weather day last October. It had snowed that morning, but by the end of the day we had the warmest sunshine! I love how the sunlight brings a little bit of magic to these photos. I have the opportunity to really get to know my clients during shoots and Tamara was so friendly and easy to talk to! Her beautiful smile shines with a natural ease and I’m so excited to be sharing a few more images from her session!
I reached out to Tamara recently to get her thoughts on everything from future plans, to high school memories and dealing with the coronavirus pandemic.
What are your plans after graduation?
My plans after high school are to attend MATC and get my general education done as well as exploratory courses to decide what career path I want to take. I chose to go this route because I know I want to continue my education but still don’t know what I want to major in.
What are you most looking forward to after high school?
I am looking forward to new things and experiencing the real world.
What will you miss most about high school?
I am going to miss the people, my teachers and spending time with my classmates we are now off to the real world as the last class to graduate from the current high school.
How has the coronavirus pandemic challenged you these past couple weeks or how has it effected your last weeks of high school/graduating/etc.?
I have always said my senior year was going to be unforgettable. This is definitely not what I had in mind. I remember at the beginning of the year saying how badly I wanted the school year to end and now that it has abruptly come to an end I am very sad. This is not the end that I was expecting.
Have you found a silver lining from having to spend the reminder of your senior year at home?
The silver lining to this pandemic is that I got to slow down a little bit to do projects I had been intending to do but didn’t have time for because I was busy with school and sports and lastly spending time with my family.
So many seniors have had important events cancelled due to the coronavirus and my heart has been breaking for them. I’m glad to be able to share some senior smiles and happiness through my blog! Check out more images from Tamara’s session below!
